If you live in Oakland, I feel sorry for you! Oakland’s Chief of Police says they don’t have enough cops to go around, so don’t bother to call them for any one of these 44 crimes.
The Oakland Police Department plans to layoff more than 80 police officers if negotiations can’t be reached by midnight.
Chief Anthony Batts listed exactly 44 situations that his officers no longer respond to and they include grand theft, burglary, vehicle collision, identity theft and vandalism. He says if you live in Oakland and one of the above happens to you, you need to let police know ONLINE.
Here’s a partial list:

Some 80 officers will be let go at midnight if a last-minute deal is not reached. That is about a tenth of the force. Negotiations are going on at Oakland City Hall today in the mayor’s office.
Batts said the 80 officers slated to be laid off – mostly new officers – are “pretty sad and pretty depressed,” and those feelings are shared by the Police Department as a whole.
Hold up! Did they say victims should contact police ONLINE?! What if someone has cut their power or internet connection? SMDH. Muthaf*ckas in Oakland are about to have a bad check writin’, cable stealin’ good time. 911 is officially a joke.
